This podcast hopes to bring the SCI community together to discuss life’s challenges, the ups and downs of spinal cord injuries, and, ultimately, how you can lead a successful, fulfilling life through SCI. As this podcast gains ground and continues to grow, we want to discuss topics such as the social impact SCI injuries have on patients and how to overcome associated career challenges.
Tiphany Adams was struck by a drunk driver at the age of 18 and sustained a T11 SCI. Tiphany is a body builder, very fit and active. Tiphany is a great example of living life and staying positive. She is a motivational speaker and a life coach. She never saw herself as a victim but chose to live life and inspire people through the platform of her SCI. Tiphany is an aspiring actress and is pursuing a career in Hollywood.
Sasha was injured when she fell off a balcony at school on St.Patricks day. She is extremely motivated and hard working to get back on her feet and walk again.

She is still pursuing her business degree at school and lives life to the fullest. She just got accepted into Ohio State University. Sasha still goes out and enjoys social activities, being with friends and family. She doesn’t let this injury stop her from living life. Sasha struggled when she got home from the hospital taking care of herself. When reality kicked in once she got home and support stopped. She walked in her braces daily and continues to defy the odds of leaving her wheelchair behind. She hopes to one day go for a run without her braces, an activity she loved to do before her injury.
Dale is ex-military and worked in a bomb disposal unit from the U.K. While on a training mission off the coast of Argentina was shot by friendly fire Oct 27th 2009.
Dale is ex-military and worked in a bomb disposal unit from the U.K. While on a training mission off the coast of Argentina was shot by friendly fire Oct 27th 2009. He was shot in the hip and sustained an L1 incomplete Injury. Dale is working on walking again with braces. Dale was an avid skydiver before his accident and is keeping that dream alive in his wheelchair. He recently went wing-walking, where you stand on top of a bi-winged plane and are strapped in a harness while the plane is flying. Dale has a great personality and is living life through positivity and adrenaline! Dale is hilarious and not to mention has an accent! People love that! Continuing to defy the odds of his SCI injury. Dale just recently started riding his bike again.

Shane was injured in a car accident when he was driving home from a friend who lived only a mile away.
Shane was injured in a car accident when he was driving home from a friend who lived only a mile away. During in-patient rehabilitation at Gaylord Rehabilitation Center he saw a demonstration of the Ekso™ and says that he immediately began to feel a sense of hope that he would one day walk again.
Shane describes walking the Ekso as what pushes him to “stay healthy and be optimistic about the future”. He is currently pursuing his degree in Marketing at Florida International University and is one of Ekso Bionics™’ most enthusiastic ambassadors with hopes of joining the marketing team full-time after he graduates.
