About Knollwood Military Retirement Community

Knollwood, Owned and Funded by the Army Distaff Foundation, is a premier residential and healthcare community for retired military officers and their families. Founded for a benevolent purpose, the Army Distaff Foundation provides financial assistance to those in need, ensuring that no eligible person is denied residency. Since its inception in 1989, Knollwood has expanded to include four levels of care: independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, and the Special Care Center for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. For over a half a century, Knollwood continues to be the home of serving those who have served us.
