WakeMed Health & Hospitals is a health system which includes 60 touchpoints with Centers of Excellence in rehabilitation, cardiac and vascular care, women’s and children’s services, trauma, orthopaedics and neurosciences. WakeMed’s Rehabilitation Hospital is the first, largest and most comprehensive facility of its kind in the area. Its inpatient and outpatient/day treatment programs are CARF accredited for a spinal cord system of care. The WakeMed Spinal Cord Injury Program begins with WakeMed Trauma Services then transitions through our acute care hospital, inpatient rehabilitation hospital, outpatient day treatment program and SCI fitness programs.
